Tuesday Tutorial: Flower YoYo Barrette
Barrettes are one of my favorite things to make. Whether they be out of felt, organza or fabric - they are quick and easy and SO cute for little girls. I suppose when Big E gets older they won't be as fun to make, but for the time being I'll make them for her because she likes to wear them.
Today I'm doing a tutorial on a flower yoyo barrette. I used Heather Bailey's pinwheel instructions to make two yoyo's. I made one out of a 4 inch circle and one out of a 3 inch circle. Once I got them done, I sewed the barrette to the back of the 4" yoyo (I say 4" because that's how big the circle was to start, it's only about 2" once it's done). After the barrette is attached, I then layered the 3" yoyo and a button on top. I sewed through the two flowers and button a couple of times and then it was done! Super easy - only took about 10-15 minutes. I'd love to see what you come up with as well!
