beads!!!

Most of you don't know, but I started my business by selling beaded jewelry. Amy Cornwell Designs has since evolved into mostly handstamped jewelry and very few beaded items. This leaves a huge stash of gemstones and other beads that usually just sit in my cabinet, sulking, waiting to be used.

I was so excited when earlier in the week a friend who is getting ready to travel to adopt her daughter asked me to make some necklaces for the nannies. She doesn't know their names, so she didn't want a personalized charm for them. I offered to make them some gemstone pendants and I love how they turned out. I looked through my stash and found some gorgeous red agate to use. The awesome thing about the agate is that they are all different. Some are red, some brown and some almost white. I paired them with a tiny heart charm and strung them on the box chain.

I'm getting ready to head to a creative conference in April (so excited!!) and am thinking about making some pendants like these in all different gemstones to sell at the handmade market. It's been fun getting to look at the beads again and make a few things.

Please remember that if you ever want a custom item, don't hesitate to ask. I have a ton of beads that are just sitting in my studio.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a fabulous weekend!
