Craft Inspiration: Vintage Flower and Pearl Necklace

This is the necklace that I designed for six bridesmaids for a wedding this weekend. She wanted them to look vintage and I thought to include a flower because the bridesmaids shoes have flowers on them. I found these great organza flowers on Etsy, disassembled them and made them a little bit smaller. I wire wrapped the 10mm Swarovski crystal beads and attached them to a chain. Then I sewed on the flower and they are done! She wanted me to also oxidize the chain (darken it) to make it look more vintage so I did that as well. You can see the chain darkened in the picture where I'm wearing the necklace. I love them and the bride did too when she picked them up yesterday! If you'd like to make this yourself and need more instructions, please feel free to let me know and I'll create a proper tutorial. Or if you'd like them for your wedding, please email me and I'll quote you a price.

  1. Hi, found your blog via tatertots and jello. I love this necklace. I have a friend getting married early next year and I think this would be lovely. I hope you do a tutorial for it, I would love to have a go! Hope you're enjoying your summer, here in Australia it's raining and freezing cold! Love your blog. Lesley

  2. Hi Leslie! Not sure if you'll see this or not, but I hope to work up this tutorial this week so you can work on them for the wedding in a few months.
