Mega Gold Filled Washer

One of my customers made a special request for a gold filled washer and I finished it today on my lunch break. I love it so I've decided to add it to the shop for all of my other customers to enjoy. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Grandmother's Necklace - Heirloom Collection

Last night I posted a new necklace on my website and Etsy. It's a part of the Heirloom collection of pieces that can be removed and given to loved ones in the future. The Grandmother's necklace is not only for grandmother's - it can be for anyone! It includes four charms: oval, mega, heart and itty bitty. It is completely sterling silver but you can add charms of a different metal if you want. The oval is shown with an offset 1/4" letter (first initial); the mega is shown with the grandkids names; the heart is shown with the wedding date and the itty bitty with an awareness ribbon. Each charm can be customized to your liking with the design of your choice.

Following in my footsteps...

My daughter loves to create. She's the best 4 year old colorer I've ever seen. She loves to sit in my studio and craft with me...cutting, gluing, drawing...she loves it all. Today she's making something special for her Mimi and Nana (grandma's). She's precious. I just had to share!

The Best Apple Bars Ever!

I found this recipe for the yummiest apple bars on a blog that I follow a few days ago. I just happened to have a bag of apples in my fridge calling out to be used for this recipe. The recipe includes 3 sticks of butter and I think that's why I love this recipe so much (I'm a butter LOVER). These bars are SO good and I brought them into the office today and they're almost gone already. Enjoy!

Hop on over to Meg's blog and check it out.

2 Sales Away...

...from 700 items sold on Etsy! I figure this is a pretty big milestone for me, so I'm going to do a contest. Well, not so much a contest as a FREE giveaway. For the customer who purchases my 700th item, I'll give you a free Medium Add-a-Charm*. So if you're my 700th item sold, I'll contact you to see what you want on your medium charm or you can specify that in the comments section at checkout. Thank you to all of my loyal customers who keep coming back!

Family Getaway

This weekend I planned a getaway for the family. We went to IKEA and Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, OH. We had an amazing time as a family. IKEA was wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. They had so much that I wanted to bring home, but I stuck to a lamp for the studio and some bars to hang cups and such for the kitchen. Next time we're planning to get a bedroom suit.

Great Wolfe was really fun. Both kids loved our suite which had a separate "tent" area for them. Ellie laughed so hard going down the big water slides and can name each of them by color as her "favorite". We had a great time as a family.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

My mother is celebrating her 16th year of being cancer free this year so this October we are very thankful that she is a breast cancer survivor. Every year we try to do the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. For the sale of every breast cancer necklace or bracelet, I will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Please celebrate and remember those who have been affected by this disease this month. This weekend I'll be adding necklaces and bracelets to the shop, so check back to the blog to see when they're up!
